You’ll Never Guess Who Had The Biggest Selling CD Of 2016…

Drake topped the streaming charts for 2016, but he didn’t have the best-selling CD in the United States this year. Perhaps surprisingly, that honor went to an Austrian man who died 225 years ago!

Composer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart sold the most CDs in the U.S. in 2016 with his 200-disc ‘Mozart 225: The New Complete Edition’ boxset moving over 6,250 copies – which equals 1.25 million CDs sold in total!

Meanwhile, Drake was Spotify’s most-streamed artist with a phenomenal 4.7 billion streams. In fact, he is officially the most-streamed artist of all time, with his track ‘One dance’ being the most-streamed song on Spotify.
