Pamela Taylor, the director of non-profit Clay County Development Corporation, was fired this week after making shockingly racist comments about FLOTUS Michelle Obama.
Taylor, who was clearly showing her support for President-elect Donald Trump, took to Facebook to post about his wife, Melania Trump:
She then added (in reference to Michelle Obama):
Like, what?
Sounds like her racist-ass self got all over-excited with Donald Trump’s win!
However, that’s not all, as city mayor Beverly Whaling added her own comment – saying that Taylor’s racist post had “just made my day.”
Taylor said sorry and apologized, but the damage was done and she was handed her pink slip.
She has since reportedly received death threats and says the incident has been turned into a “hate crime against” her.
On a brighter note, Joe Murphy, vice-chairman of the Clay Democratic Executive Committee, said he was disappointed when he heard about the post and stressed that Mrs. Obama is one of the most graceful and articulate first ladies in American history, adding:
That said, even though we are shocked and appalled by Taylor’s comments and glad that she has been removed from her position, we can’t condone the threats against her. She’s shown her true colors and we imagine will struggle to get another high-profile position again –and she’s certainly not worth you getting into trouble over.
However, we wonder how come Whaling hasn’t been shown the door too?
