With sexual harassment suits popping off all over the place, this one caught our attention!
Mariah Carey has been accused of sexual harassment by her former bodyguard, who claims the singer called him a “Nazi” before inviting him to her hotel room where she met him wearing sheer lingerie.
Michael Anello, who worked for Mariah’s former security company, is threatening to sue the singer over the alleged incidents. Carey is also said to have called Anello and his colleagues skinheads, KKK members, and white supremacists, according to reports.
Anello claimed that Mariah “wanted to be surrounded with black guys, not white people,” and is now set to sue over an unpaid $220,000 invoice for security his company provided to Carey from June 2015 to May 2017. Anello is also after another $511,000 for two remaining years on his security contract.
Mariah is also accused of performing “sexual acts with the intent that they be viewed by Anello.”
While she is clearly in the wrong if she used racial slurs towards Anello and his staff (and of course she needs to pay her bills), as far as the sexual harassment side of things? We’re not sure – sounds like it will be his word against hers (and her lawyers).
What do you reckon?
