Too hot for work?

When the temperatures soar in the summer months, you might think that you are protected from working in hot conditions…

You might be surprised that, while many countries, like the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France and much of the EU, ask that employers look after the health of their workers, there are no set limits on how hot it has to be before you should stop working.

However, other nations, including China, The United Arab Emirates, and Spain have set limits on how hot it has to be for work to be suspended – particularly outdoors!

So, when the temperatures rise, you need to look after yourself; stay cool, stay hydrated, stay covered up, wear a hat, suncream, and sunglasses.

What do you think?
