Taylor Swift Pledges $1 Million To Help Louisiana Flood Victims

Maybe it’s a good PR move, or maybe it is a heartfelt gesture, but either way we have to tip our hat to Taylor Swift who has pledged $1 million to help victims of the recent floods in Louisiana.

Swift first pledged to help victims through various causes back in August, and now has finally come good on her promise by dividing the million dollars up between Convoy of Hope, The Life of a Single Mom and YWCA Greater Baton Rouge. She also gave $100,000 to Habitat For Humanity, who hope to rebuild 100 homes in baton Rouge by the end of 2017. Taylor also dropped $50,000 in at the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank in August.

This is just the latest example of Taylor’s generosity, having given a fan with cancer $50,000 last year as well as donating $50,000 to New York City schools in February last year.

In fact, Taylor Swift has been named as the most charitable celebrity on the planet.

While we may not agree with everything that Taylor Swift does, it is a case of credit where it’s due – good work Taylor!
