On this day: Lupe Fiasco breaks out the ‘Food & Liquor’

Today we roll back to September 19, 2006, and the release of Lupe Fiasco’s acclaimed debut album, ‘Food & Liquor.’

The Chicago MC’s album was nominated for four Grammys, while the Jill Scott featuring single ‘Daydreamin’ picked up the Grammy for ‘Best Urban / Alternative Performance.’

Lupe also returned the love that skateboarding has shown for hip-hop with the anthemic ‘Kick, Push.’

With production by the likes of Kanye West, The Neptunes and Soundtrakk, this album still holds it’s own…
