New Tech Could See The End Of ‘Sharing’ Netflix Passwords

Sharing Netflix passwords is pretty common these days – after all, it may not cost the world for a subscription, but why pay something when you don’t have to, right?

Well, it seems that a company called Synamedia are looking to end the party with the release of new software that can track down and flag ‘suspicious users’ of streaming accounts like Netflix.

It is all about trying to recoup that revenue, as Synamedia explained:

“Casual credentials sharing is becoming too expensive to ignore. Our new solution gives operators the ability to take action. Many casual users will be happy to pay an additional fee for a premium, shared service with a greater number of concurrent users. It’s a great way to keep honest people honest while benefiting from an incremental revenue stream.”

Digital snitching?
