Mike Epps’ John Candy Remake, ‘Uncle Buck’ Gets The Axe By ABC After Only Four Weeks

ABC show, ‘Uncle Buck’ has hit the chopping block after only eight episodes (Which they showed in only four weeks).  The show was a remake of the hit 1989 John Candy movie of the same name. ‘Uncle Buck’ was about an irresponsible man-child who served as a nanny to his nieces and nephews.  After seeing a few of the episodes ourselves, let us just say, Mike Epps was no John Candy. We may have smirked a bit, but there was never any true funny moments to the show, therefore laughter never happened!

The announcement was first made on, where else but Twitter, via James Lesure that the show would not be returning.

We are not shocked at this.  The show’s cast, starring Nia Long, Mike Epps, and James Lesure, just seemed to have no chemistry.  Maybe Mike Epps should have stayed with the Starz show, ‘Survivor’s Remorse,’ as his style of comedy seems better suited for a cable show.  He does better as a sidekick than the main character.  Oh well, we hope Ice Cube will have some work for him soon!  Better yet, Epps better try calling Shonda Rhimes who seems to have ABC on lock.
