Kim Kardashian has opened up about the terrifying ordeal that saw her robbed in Paris on October 3, 2016. 17 people have been arrested in connection to the $10 million heist, with ten of the criminals charged. Having hidden from social media following the attack, 36-year-old Kim has finally spoken out about the ordeal.
“He grabs my legs, and I wasn’t, you know, I had no clothes on under. He pulled me toward him at the front of the bed and I thought, ‘Okay, this is the moment they’re going to rape me.”
“I fully mentally prepped myself – and then he didn’t. He duck taped my legs together and had the gun up to me. I knew that was the moment they’re just totally going to shoot me in the head. I just prayed that Kourtney’s going to have a normal life after she sees my dead body on the bed…like, I’m not going to make it out of here. I know how these things go.”
The reality TV star revealed that she pleaded with the hotel concierge – who had been forced to take the robbers to her room – to tell the thieves that she had babies and a family. She revealed:
“I just said, ‘Are we going to die? They can’t understand me, but please tell them I have babies, I have a family, let me live!”‘
The robbers took her $4 million engagement ring before demanding money:
“I said I don’t have money. They dragged me out to the hallway on top of the stairs. That’s when I saw the gun clear as day. I was looking at the gun, looking at the stairs… either they’re going to shoot me in the back, or if I make it and they don’t, if the elevator doesn’t make it in time or the stairs are locked then I’m like f***ed. There’s no way out.”
However, the criminals, who were dressed as Parisian police, left Kim in the bathroom before making their escape on hire bicycles. Meanwhile, Kim hid in a bush on the balcony:
“It was really hard for me when the police showed up because they were dressed in the same uniform, except for the face masks.”
Kim also revealed her own theory on how the robbery went down, saying:
“What I think happened now, after thinking about it so much, is that there was probably a group of guys that were following us the entire trip. I was Snapchatting that I was home and everyone was going out, so I think they knew [bodyguard] Pascal [Duvier] was out with Kourtney and that I was there by myself…They had this window of opportunity and just went for it.”
As for the jewels, 60-year-old Frenchman Aomar Ait Khedache, who was thought to be the ringleader, said that they have been melted down and sold. Although, Kim’s engagement ring was too difficult to sell on, so the diamond has probably been removed and sold separately. Khedache has also told police that his team had planned to rob Kardashian on previous visits to Paris, but had held off as she was always surrounded by so many people.
Kim also took to social media to speak on the robbery and sharing her story on ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians:’
