Is $150 Million Enough To Tempt Daniel Craig Back As Bond?

Sony executives are hoping that $150 million is enough to tempt Daniel Craig back to play James Bond for two more movies. The British actor has already turned down $68 million saying he would rather “slit his wrists” than play the iconic spy again.

However, a source says that the studio is desperate to get him to change his mind:

“The studio is desperate to secure the actor’s services while they phase in a younger long-term successor. Everyone knows how much executives adore him, and the idea of losing him at such a crucial time in the franchise isn’t an option as far as all the studio honchos are concerned. Daniel’s the key for a seamless, safe transition as far as Sony and Bond bosses are concerned, and they’re prepared to pay a king’s ransom to make it happen.”

Daniel Craig has appeared in four films since taking the role as 007 in 2005, but seemed to lose interest in continuing to play the part after filming 2015’s Spectre.

A source close to the actor revealed:

“Daniel is done – pure and simple – he told top brass at MGM after Spectre. They threw huge amounts of money at him, but it just wasn’t what he wanted.”

It must be nice to be able to turn down millions, but is Daniel right to stick to his guns, or would you like to see him return to the role a couple more times?
