Nas is a hip-hop legend – but how much does a hip-hop legend earn these days?
The rapper’s financial details have been released through court documents as part of his ongoing child support battle with ex-wife, Kelis.
Reports say that Nas’ legal documents revealed he has $8.3 million in the bank and also earns a tidy $175,000 per month from music, investments and his various other business deals.
With expenses totaling $76,834.04, he still has nearly $100K coming in each month. These expenses include the $20,245.70 that goes to family members including his father and $15,000 per month in rent.
Kelis has claimed that Nas should be paying her more than $8,000 per month in child support and a judge will now decide how much she gets for their 8-year-old son, Knight.
Their split has been acrimonious, with Nas claiming that Kelis has made it difficult for him to see his son, while Kelis has claimed that their relationship was “really dark” and full of “mental and physical abuse.”
