Carrie Fisher has opened up about how a “wine-sodden” night led her to have a three-month affair with Harrison Ford during the filming of ‘Star Wars’ back in 1976. Fisher, who was just 19 at the time has revealed how Ford, then 34, offered to drive her home after director George Lucas’ birthday party.
The revelation, which comes from Fisher’s third memoir ‘The Princess Diarist,’ reveals that Ford was not very good in bed – but it seems she didn’t mind since “he was really handsome” and she was a “bad kisser” and “sexually inexperienced” at the time.
Speaking on the relationship, which continued behind the back of Ford’s then-wife Mary Marquardt, Fisher said:
Despite not being the best in bed, Ford was “kind” and Carrie said she trusted “something about him.”
However, party girl Carrie says she couldn’t recall the exact details of their short-lived affair because of “’the brutal strength of Harrison’s preferred strain of pot.’
While both Ford and Fisher went on to have other relationships, she reveals that at the time she fantasized about being engaged to her handsome co-star.
But maybe the affair wasn’t such an accident after all?
While Carrie asserts that Ford’s 1979 divorce from Marquardt had nothing to do with her, the Princess Leia actress has previously revealed that she arrived on set “determined to have an affair” – even revealing how Ford once hid in her closet, “naked but for a tie.”
We just knew there was more to their on-screen chemistry!
