Ariana Grande has bravely spoken up about her issues with anxiety.
Discussing mental health isn’t easy for anyone, let alone an internationally-known star – so good work on Ariana, who said:
“I almost feel guilty that I have it [anxiety] because it’s just in your head and it’s just so crazy how powerful it is. You have ups and downs and sometimes you’ll go weeks at a time where you will be crushing it and there will be no anxiety… and then something will happen that can trigger it and then you have a couple of down days. It’s such an unpredictable thing.”
Ariana was speaking with BBC host Davina McCall, but the singer didn’t leave without adding some advice for others with dealing with similar problems, saying:
“It takes hard work and practice and therapy and self-care — and so much love. It’s just in your head and it’s just so crazy how powerful it is. The most important thing is to remember that…everybody has this. Talk to your loved ones, reach out to people, especially your friends online.”
Straight talk and some good advice too from Ariana who, it is fair to say, has had to deal with a lot over the last couple of years…
