Juli Briskman may have been declared as a being a hero for flipping the bird to Donald Trump’s motorcade, but it seems her employer wasn’t impressed and actually fired her over the protest.
Briskman was going to tell her employer, government contractor Akima LLC, about the photo, but was instead told that she violated the company’s social media policy because she used the image on her Twitter and Facebook pages as her profile picture.
Despite pointing out that she wasn’t at work when the shot was taken and there being no mention of her employer on her social media pages, Akima didn’t back down. In fact, Briskman said that she was particularly mad because a male employee had been able to keep his job despite having Akima as his cover photo on Facebook and calling someone “a f***ing Libtard a**hole” on Facebook.
Briskman also revealed what led her to offer a f*ck you to the President, saying:
Despite losing her job, Briskman says she is “doing better than ever,” adding:
As for work, Briskman says she is going to find a job at an organization she believes in, such as Planned Parenthood.
What do you think? Were Akima LLC right to fire Briskman, or did they overstep the mark?
