The release date for the upcoming Star Wars spin-off movie about Han Solo has been pushed back. The movie, which casts Aldren Ehrenreich as the young Han Solo was due for release on May 25, 2018, but has now been pushed back to December 13, 2018.
The changed release date is due to the success of Episode VII: The Force Awakens and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which both had December release dates.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which took $395 million at the box-office on it’s opening weekend, while Rogue One: A Star Wars Story took $290.5 million in its opening weekend.
As well as Ehrenreich, the upcoming Han Solo movie will star Emilia Clarke (best known as Daenerys Targaryen in HBO’s Game Of Thrones) in an unspecified role and rapper, Childish Gambino as the young Lando Calrissian.
