Fed up with your job? Perhaps having more sex is the answer!
A new study indicates that having a healthy sex life at home could actually improve your job satisfaction.
Oregon State Professor Keith Leavitt, who co-authored the study revealed:
The study took 159 married couples and asked them to complete two surveys per day for two weeks, with the results showing that those who had sex were happier the next day, leading to greater job satisfaction and engagement at work.
The results found that this mood boost lasted for at least 24 hours and worked just the same for men and women. What’s more the benefits worked regardless of marital satisfaction or sleep quality. However, the study also found that those employees who took their office problems back home had less sex (and therefore were more likely to have a bad day at work the next day!).
Professor Leavitt noted:
However, Professor Leavitt isn’t the only person who is promoting the career benefits of an active sex life.
Just last month we reported on how a Swedish politician proposed a paid sex-break during the working day!
While research has shown that sex can lower blood pressure, improve your sleep and reduce anxiety it could also improve your income! And no, we don’t mean by sleeping with your boss!
A 2013 study from Germany showed that people who had sex four or more times a week saw a 5% increase in their salaries when compared to those who had less or none at all.
Sounds like sex can have a real positive impact on your career – so if ever you need a good excuse to get intimate, this has to be it. Who said you have to choose between your career and your relationship?
