The original hand-written lyrics to Tupac Shakur’s track ‘Catchin’ Feelings’ from the 2002 album ‘Better Dayz’ are to go up for sale.
The lyrics have been in the possession of Gary Zimet, the owner of memorabilia company Moments In Time after he got them from an ex-employee from the studio where the track was recorded back in 1996.
Bidding for the unique item is set to start at $38,500 (£29,000) on September 13th, 2016 – marking the 20th anniversary of Tupac’s death. The iconic rapper was shot multiple times in a drive-by in Las Vegas on September 7th 1996. He was rushed to hospital but succumbed to his wounds 6 days later. Nobody has been convicted for his murder.
However, there are those who believe Tupac is still alive, having faked his death and fled to Cuba. A picture has been doing the rounds recently claiming to have been shot in 2015 using a phone made in 2011, and showing Tupac wearing a 2014 model coat. A YouTube video associated with the picture claims that it shows, “Tupac guys 100% same eyebrows and lips.”
