Reports say that gun ownership among non-whites in America has shot up since the election of Donald Trump. Could it be that African Americans and other minorities are feeling the need to protect themselves ‘by any means necessary’ in Trump’s U.S.A.?
Gun store owners say they are seeing up to four times as many black and minority customers, while black gun groups report that attendee numbers have doubled since the election.
Racial tension has been high due to an upsurge in reports of shootings and deaths of African Americans at the hands of police officers, and sources say that African American women are leading a rise in the number of black gun groups.
It is said that increasing numbers of concerned minorities are keen to learn more about gun safety, training, and firearm access.
What do you think? Is it better to ‘be prepared’ and get armed, or is gun ownership in general simply feeding into the problem of violence in America?
